As part of our commitment to provide safe and reliable natural gas service to our customers, Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania is making a significant investment to replace natural gas pipelines in Marshall Township, Pa.
Our work mainly affects customers and local traffic along portions of Mt. Pleasant Road between Northgate Drive and Franklin Road. The work requires a two-day road closure sometime during the first week of May 2023, weather permitting. Motorists can expect road closures and lane restrictions during working daylight hours only. The suggested detour route will be Warrendale Road to Franklin Road, which will allow access to Mt. Pleasant Road.
Motorists traveling through or near the Columbia Gas work zone should exercise extreme caution and be prepared for slowed or temporarily stopped traffic. Motorists should keep a safe distance between vehicles, reduce speed in work zones, and obey flaggers and all posted signs, including detours and parking restrictions.
All workers carry photo ID which clearly identifies them as a Columbia Gas employee or contractor. Customers are encouraged to ask for identification before allowing anyone into their home or business. Customers may also call us at 1-888-460-4332 to reach a customer service representative who will be able to verify the worker’s identity.
The patience and cooperation of residents and motorists is appreciated during this important project to maintain safe and reliable natural gas service to homes and businesses in the community.
